Gary Allen Kirk, 75 of Charleston passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 at home after a long illness.

Gary retired from Kanawha County Schools after over 20 years of service. He loved his job and the teachers and children with whom he worked. Gary was always busy working and helping others. When he wasn’t able to work anymore, he loved riding his scooter through Kanawha City and talking with all of his neighbors. His hobbies were working puzzles and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by Wife: Betty Kirk,
Parents: Harrison and Bessie Blythe Kirk,
Brothers: Frank, Lee, and Jack Kirk and
Sisters: Emma Bowles, Recie Jarrell and Joyce Patton.

Left to cherish his memory are:

Sisters: Jean Morris of Kanawha City with whom he made his home and
Betty Tucker of Rand,

Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends all of whom dearly loved him and

His four legged faithful friends: Boots and Tally.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday January 11, 2018 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet. Burial will follow in Marmet Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
