Obituary for Russell W. "Rick" Whaley
Russell (Rick) Whaley, age 68 passed away Saturday March 18, 2023 at Thomas Memorial Hospital Hospice Center in South Charleston, West Virginia with his friend Kelly by his side.
Rick lived in Leon, West Virginia with his best friend Tony and his family. Rick was born to the late Virginia Martin Whaley and Wilmer Whaley. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Terry Whaley, David Whaley and Cindy Whaley Perkins.
He is survived by his three sons, Russell Whaley, Terry (Kacie) Whaley, Mickey Whaley and his grandchildren of West Alexandria Ohio, three sisters, Diane (Joe) Rhoades of Gandeeville, West Virginia, Brenda (Roger) Rafferty of Wellston Ohio, and Sue Breech of Waverly, Ohio and one brother, Kevin (Kathy) Whaley of Greenville Ohio, his Aunt, Sharon Martin of Columbus, Ohio, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will scattered on the property of his best friend Tony and his family in Leon, West Virginia.
