Obituary for Terry Gene Turner Sr.
Terry Gene Turner Sr., 62 of Marmet died August 20, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was a longtime employee of Lowe’s Department Store, Kanawha City and was a former employee of Motorcar Supply in Chesapeake. He was a member of Marmet Community Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by Wife: Nancy Larzo Turner, Parents: Clifford Gene and Lucille Stover Turner, Brother in law: Tony Dunlap and his faithful canine companion: “Sugar Bear”.
Surviving Are: Son: Terry Gene Turner Jr. of Marmet, Sisters: Deborah (Johnny) Canterbury of Kanawha City, Elizabeth (Calvin) Reedy of Hernshaw, Tammy Dunlap of Sod and Sheila (Claude) Brown of NC.
He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Noon Friday September 2, 2022 at Marmet Community Church with Pastor Stanley Konkle officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or a favorite veterans charity of your choice.
