Obituary for Carolyn A. Ball
Carolyn A. Ball, 85 of Marmet went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Marmet Health Care Center.
Carolyn was a 1957 graduate of East Bank High School and retired from Appalachian Electric Power Co. after many years of service. After retiring, she worked part time for a local lawyer.
She was an amazing person who loved her family, the beach, flea markets, class reunions, cats, Christmas and especially working in her flower garden. She could make anything grow. She was loved by everyone who met her.
She was preceded in death by her Husband: Lester Ball and Parents: Thurman and Audrey Ratliff Brown.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters: Kandy (Gerald) of Glasgow, Kim of Marmet, son: Stephen of Marmet, brothers in law: Harold “Sleepy” Ball of Nags Head, NC, Gary (Teresa) Ball of Dunbar, Sister in law: Linda (Don) Lipscomb of Kanawha City, numerous cousins and dear friends: James, Shannon and Joe.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday August 13, 2022 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Pastor Frank Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
