Obituary for Veronica Lee Davis (Justice)
Ms. Veronica Lee "Ronnie" Davis, 79, of Walnut Cove, NC, formally of Nellis, WV, passed away, with her family by her side at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist | Hematology and Oncology - Cancer Center, on Sunday, July 31st, 2022, after a long period of illness.
She graduated from Charleston High School in 1961, and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Cosmetology. Her trade was as a Hairdresser/Stylist, owning and operating beauty salons in the Detroit, MI suburbs and then Winston-Salem, NC area, for more than 50 years. She shared her many talents and love of beauty by also serving the area as a passionate professor. She taught Cosmetology courses for more than 20 years, at Dudley Cosmetology University, in Colfax, NC and at Carolina Beauty College, in Winston-Salem and High Point, NC. She was an active member of White Road Baptist Church in Belews Creek, NC. Her family and community will greatly miss her kind and generous heart.
She leaves behind her son, Howard "Lee" Davis and wife Tracie of Blackstone, Virginia, her Brother, Robert "Bob" Justice, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, her seven grandchildren, her eighteen great-grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Justin "J.W." Davis, of Walnut Cove, NC, her loving parents, Cleveland and Donna Mae (Hill) Justice, of Nellis, WV and six of her brothers and sisters: Aubrey, Esther, Irene, Ruby Marea, Tracy, and Dolores.
A 2:00 pm entombment service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens: 42 Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery Rd, Chapmanville, WV on Saturday, August 6, 2022, with Robert “Bob” Justice officiating, where she will then be laid to rest. Previously a funeral service was held Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 3:00 pm at White Road Baptist Church-7035 Belews Creek Rd, Belews Creek, NC with Pastor R.J. McBride officiating.
