Obituary for Leon Connard
Norman L. “Leon” Connard, 85 of Winifrede passed away on April 29, 2022, with his loving wife of 60 years and children by his side.
He retired from Conrail after forty years of service as a brakeman and conductor on the railroad. Leon enjoyed tinkering, camping, boating, and most of all his family and dog Baxter. Leon was an angel among men and we were so blessed to have him in our lives.
He was preceded in death by Parents: Norman Edwin and Ruby Alma Grubb Connard and several Brothers and Sisters.
Leon is survived by his wife, Tennie Connard. Children: Norman L. Connard Jr. (Donna Morrison) of Elkview, Tina Connard of Hurricane, and Mary Maximo (Dave) of Palm Bay, FL. Beloved Grandchildren: Joey Connard of Los Angeles, James Connard of Los Angeles, Sydney Buckland (Richard Pauley) of Hurricane, Kenzi Buckland of Nitro, and Willa Reynolds of Palm Bay, FL. Great Grandchildren: Hendrix and Harlan Pauley of Hurricane. Brother: Charles Connard of Elyria, OH.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday May 4, 2022 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Timmy Cooper officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
