Obituary for Shaunta Marie Payne
Shaunta Marie Payne, 31 of Orgas went before our Lord on April 11, 2022 at home.
She was a loving, sweet, free spirited mother, daughter, sister and friend. The things that made her the happiest were music and spending time with her family and friends. She so looked forward to the holidays and was like a little kid at heart. She loved hanging out with the little ones, which is why she got along so well with Boss Babe and Chunky Butt. She loved doing hair, make-up and nails and had dreams of becoming a Cosmetologist. She would ask for prayer whenever she saw you and always had the most beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her Dad: Michael R. Payne, her Paternal Grandparents: Johnnie and Goldie Payne, Her Maternal Grandfather: John Thomas “Tommy” Cowley, Sister: Windie Payne, Brother: Johnnie Payne, Aunt: Maggie, Uncle: William and Special Aunt: Kay Buzzard.
Surviving are Mother: Stephanie M. Zapata of Orgas, Her companion of 9 years: Dakota R. Hart of Orgas, Her three beautiful children: Hayleigh M. Adkins, Brayleigh N. Payne and Bentley D. Hart, Siblings: Cierra B. Payne of Beckley, Jared “C.W.” Cowley of Orgas, Deanna (Steven) Linville of Sylvester, Angela (J.T.) Spencer of Cross Lanes, Johnnie (Leslie) Payne of Houston, TX, Maggie Payne of Arizona, Maternal Grandmother: Teresa E. Nutter of Beckley, Maternal Great Grandmother: Sybil N. Buzzard of Sylvester, Special Cousin and Niece: Journi “D.G.” Cowley and Adrianna J. Payne, Special Uncle: Jason Nutter and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday April 22, 2022 at Keith Full Gospel Church with her Uncle: Rev. Roger Halstead officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church, 2 hours prior to the service. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
