Obituary for Michael Edward "Mikey" Petry
Michael Edward “Mikey” Petry II, 38 of Ohley died suddenly on April 18, 2022.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Realtree Camo, the rebel flag, Hank Williams Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Sr. He was a gun and automotive enthusiast and loved to ride his four wheeler. He had the biggest heart and was the joy of his family’s life.
He was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents: Charles David “Shorty” and Cosetta June Green Petry, Maternal Grandfather: Brady Buzzard and beloved dog Bentley.
Surviving are his Parents: Michael Edward and Tammy Buzzard Petry of Ohley, Sister: Michelle (Mark) Petry of Beckley, Maternal Grandmother: Frances Buzzard of Belle, his beloved dog Murphy and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Cousins: Branden Green and Mitchell Monk for fixing the road and Jessica Martin for always being there when he needed something.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday April 23, 2022 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Herman Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Petry-Estep Cemetery on Dawes Mountain. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
