Obituary for Jane Roe
Jane Roe, 79 of Hernshaw left this earth on Sunday July 25, 2021 to join her husband Roy Roe and her son who was her whole world: Roy Roe Jr.
Also preceding her in death were her Parents: Sebert and Opal Carr and Brother: William “Bill” Carr.
Jane had several different jobs during her life, but the best job she had was that of a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. After her husband passed away, she spent most of her time doting on her grandchildren, especially Amber.
She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Amber Roe of Pond Gap, Alex (Erin) Patton of Texas, formerly of Winifrede, Cierra (Steven) Henderson of Winifrede and Kaytlin Roe of Ashford, great grandchildren: Coleson Patton and Natalie Roe, daughter in law: Karen Roe Starcher, sisters: JoAnn and Henrietta, her best friend Rose Nunn as well as her family, her “honey bunny”: Teresa Starcher, her beloved dog: Cody and many other family and friends.
She always looked forward to spending July 4th with her nephew Darrell (Susan) Goodwin whom she called her baby and she was so upset that she had to miss this year’s celebration because of her illness.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday July 30, 2021 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Keith Messer officiating. Per her request, she will be cremated after the service. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
