Obituary for Chester Calhoun

Chester Calhoun, 86 of London died May 25, 2021 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was a retired coal miner from Cedar and Peabody Coal Companies and was a former KRT bus driver. He was a longtime member of Winifrede Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by Parents: Raymond and Nola Kitchen Calhoun,
Brother: Johnny Glenn Calhoun and
Sister: Rose Ella Calhoun.

Surviving Are:

Wife of 63 years: Loretta Prichard Calhoun of London,

Daughter: Melissa Kaye (Kenny) Centers of Shrewsbury,

Sons: Chester Ray (Shelley) Calhoun of Witcher,
Craig Calhoun of Sissonville,

Sister: Ruth (Richard) Weinroth of Glenwood, MD,

Grandchildren: Anthony Bays, Chelci, Erin Calhoun, Whitney Blankenship, Kody Centers, Shayne Williams, Caleb Calhoun and

9 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday May 29, 2021 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Heath Williams officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside service and burial will be Noon Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, the day after Memorial Day.
