Obituary for Norma Jean Adkins
Norma Jean Adkins, of Hernshaw, WV passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021.
Norma was the daughter of the late Harrison & Gertie Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Walter Adkins, Dennis Adkins, Samp Adkins, and sister Gracie Cochran.
Norma loved to sew, garden and play bingo. She never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Compton of Hernshaw, WV, son Joey Adkins (Ashley) of Chesapeake, WV and daughter, Lisa Sarrett (Brian) of Lexington, KY. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Monica Walls, Kelli Compton, Lexi Sarrett, Landon Sarrett & Joey Adkins and two great grandchildren, Paislee & Rylee Walls.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m.Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Marmet Memorial Gardens in Marmet, WV with Dr. Fred Christian officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements will be handled by Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet.
