Obituary for Lorene Marie "Choe" Kirk
Lorene Marie “Choe” Kirk, 88 of Ashford passed from this life August 18, 2020 at the Hubbard Hospice Unit at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
Choe was a faithful follower of Christ and attended Rumble Community Baptist Church. She devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren and acted as surrogate mother and grandmother to many others, all whose lives she enriched with her love and generosity. She loved a good joke and maintained her sense of humor till the end. She also enjoyed going on road trips with her best friend and sidekick, her daughter Debbie.
She was preceded in death by Husband: Gerald “Dal” Kirk, Daughter: Cindy Kirk, Parents: Patsy and Belle Lutsy and Siblings: Arthur, Gene, Patsy and Lonnie Lutsy and Martha Little.
Surviving Are:
Children: Ricky (Gabrielle) Kirk of Ashford, Steve Kirk of Ashford, Ronnie (Inez) Kirk of Barboursville, Debbie Kirk of Ashford,
Siblings: Bob Lutsy, Helen Cooper and Sue Elkins,
Grandchildren: Holly Clark and Jessica, Trent, Matthew, Adam, Logan, Kelsie, Savannah, Kara and Carmel Kirk,
Great Grandchildren: Scarlett Harless, Brielle Clark and Owen, Isaac, Luke, Isaiah, Lawson and Jace Kirk.
The family would like to thank Ashley Chism, Randy Dunfee, Gail Anderson, and Sonia Elkins for their special friendship and support.
Graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday August 21, 2020 at Barker Cemetery, Ashford with her son Ronnie Kirk officiating. Friends and family are welcome. The family asks that those in attendance wear face coverings to protect the elderly. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
