Deborah Jewel Pierce, 59 of South Charleston died July 24, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

She was a former employee of the State of WV.

She was preceded in death by Husband: James Pierce and
Father: James Monroe Shafer.

Surviving Are:

Sons: Ashley (Kelsey) Thompson of South Charleston,
Randolph (Stephanie Woodrum) Thompson II of South Charleston,

Grandchildren: Cameron Thompson, Elijah Mayo, Abel Arthur and Gabriel Franklin,

Mother: Jean Hannon Shafer of South Charleston,

Brother: Jeff (Paula) Shafer of Cross Lanes,

Nephew: Paul Shafer of Scott Depot and

Niece: Brittany Shafer of Boone County,

Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
