Obituary for John Franklin Pomeroy Sr.

John Franklin Pomeroy Sr., 83 of Dry Branch died December 27, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was a retired coal miner from Valley Camp Coal Co., Witcher Creek and was a U.S. Forest Ranger. He was a member of Winifrede Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by First wife: Shirley Sue Pomeroy,
Daughter: Diane Sue Cooper,
Parents: Cecil James and Ethel Virginia Skaggs Pomeroy,
Brothers: Dewey, Bobby, William Ray, Glendon and Clarence Pomeroy,
Sisters: Bertha Oiler, Virginia L. Adkins and Mary Belle Haush and
Grandson: Benjamin Dalton Adkins.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday December 31, 2019 at Ward Church of God with Pastor Donald Lanham and Ronnie Kimble officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
