A crazy story about my sweet cousin, Diane, and I,
We grew up in Marmet with only a house between ours, drinking cherry cokes and hanging at the drug store. One day, we must have been really bored teens when we came up with an idea to put a slice of bread and a rock in a small brown paper bag and leave it on the door steps of our surrounding neighbors. We all had the same landlord (RIP Jane), and the next morning everyone was out holding their bags trying to figure out what it meant. Diane and I had the best laugh over this mischief until the local news station came and newspaper reporters. Everyone thought it was a sign that they were going to get stoned to death with a rock and the bread was to represent their last meal. At that point we got scared and vowed never to tell anyone what we had done. My sweet cousin is flying high with the Angels now so, I am sharing our secret for the first time. Enjoy! Love to all, Nancy
