Obituary for Homer N. Loveday

Homer N. Loveday, 89 of Marmet died September 10, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years of service as a distribution clerk and mail carrier. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division.

He was preceded in death by Father: Garland V. Loveday, Mother: Louise Hutchinson Loveday, Stepmother: Nellie Marie Clark Loveday and Sisters: Rosemary Shearer, Betty Williams, Stepsisters: Bernice Marie Massey, Barbara Miller, and Loretta Spencer and Stepbrother: Gail Clark.


Surviving Are:

Wife: Vivian Loveday of Marmet,

Son: Anthony Ray (Kim) Loveday of Weirton,

Brother: David E. Loveday of Houston, TX,

Grandchildren: Patrick, Michael (Kristen) and John (Michaela).

The family would also like to thank caregiver Tonja Bolinger for her excellent care.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday September 14, 2019 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Charles “Sonny” Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Marmet Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers.
