John D. Carr, 84 of Chesapeake WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday May, 8, 2019 at CAMC after a short illness surrounded by family and friends.

John was born in Dorothy WV and was the son of the late Douglas and Martha Carr.
John was also preceded in death by brothers Robert, William, Marvin, and Frank Carr. What a beautiful reunion in heaven it was being reunited with his family.

He is survived by his wife Regina with whom he spent 28 wonderful years. He is also survived by his sons Chuck (Kristie) of Clarksburg, Brian (Sheila) of Cincinnati, Scott (Mona) Clearwater and daughter Meagan (Ryan) of Hilton Head. John’s greatest gifts were his grandchildren Allyson, Skylar, and Mason.

John was the former owner and president of Fossil Fuel until his retirement. John was a loving husband and father. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening, and most importantly his church and the church family.

A celebration of John’s life will be held Sunday May 19th at Family Worship Center in Chesapeake WV at 11:00 am with longtime friend and Pastor Terry Russell and Assistant Pastor Joe Fleck officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John’s life. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
