Faye Lou Monk, 85 of Marmet formerly of Chesapeake died March 11, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a longtime employee of Tom’s Supermarket in Chesapeake.

She was preceded in death by Husband: James F. “Jim” Monk,
Mother: Ethel Mae Bonds and
Brother: Gary Bonds.

Surviving Are:

Daughters: Karla Jane Monk of Marmet,
Karen Monk (David) Petry of East Bank,

Sister: Nubbie Bonds of Charleston,

Grandchildren: Leslie Cooper and Joshua Petry and

3 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Service and burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2019 at Courtney Cemetery, Ashford with Rev. Damron Bradshaw officiating. There will be no visitation. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
