Susan Hundley, 61 of Marmet passed away suddenly Sunday March 3, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston after an unexpected illness.
She was a graduate of East Bank High School, Carver Career Center and The University of Charleston. She retired after 35 years of service as a RN first assistant.
She was preceded in death by First Husband: Terry Cottrell,
Son: Richard Hundley,
Parents: Mary Ann Johnson Jarrell and Donald Ray Jarrell,
Sisters: Donna Marie Jarrell and Linda “Cookie” Hutchinson,
Beloved Pet Ruby and several aunts and uncles.
Surviving Are:
Husband of 31 years: Donald E. Hundley of Marmet,
Sons: Clayton (Amanda) Cottrell of Charleston,
Michael Hundley of South Charleston,
Grandchildren: Taylor (Ryan) Carnell of Colorado,
Toni Cottrell,
Lillian and Cash Jennings Cottrell all of Marmet,
Her first Great Grandbaby due anyday: Violet Carnell,
Brother: Anthony “Tony” Jarrell of Marmet,
Nieces: Mary Jones and Christy Hastings,
Nephew: Alan Perdue,
Special Friends: she thought of as family: Patty Butcher and Diane Custer,
Several cousins as well as her many work associates through the years.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday March 7, 2019 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
