Obituary for Samuel Ralph Perdue

Samuel R. Perdue, 73 of Winifrede went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

He was a retired coal miner from Big Mountain Coal Co., Prenter and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Winifrede Presbyterian Church and attended Hughes Creek Community Church.

He was preceded in death by Parents: James Elmer and Mary Genavee Jarrell Perdue,
Brothers: James Eugene, Douglas Floyd, Richard and Truman Perdue and
Half Brother: Raymond “Jub” Kirk.

Surviving Are:

Wife: Dianna J. Ferrell Perdue of Winifrede,

Son: Jason E. (Shannon) Perdue of Winifrede,

Brother: Terry (Charlotte) Perdue of Timberlake, NC,

Sister: Daisy McCormick of Winifrede and

Grandchildren: Matthew and Alexis Martin.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday December 21, 2018 at Hughes Creek Community Church, Hugheston with Rev. Gary Tucker and Rev. Tim Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow where military graveside rites will be conducted by a U.S. Army honors team. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 20, 2018 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet.
