Marian Hansford, 92 of Marmet passed away peacefully on Monday October 29, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston after a long illness.

Marian worked at Marmet Ambulance Service and Kanawha County Library, Marmet Branch. She was a longtime member of Reynolds Memorial United Methodist Church, Marmet where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of Marmet Fire Department, Elizaville Historical Society and Marmet Civic Welfare.

She was preceded in death by Husband: James Morris “Hank” Hansford,
Son: David Patrick Hansford,
Parents: Dan and Blanche O’Dell Sutphin,
Daughter in law: Sharon Hansford,
Granddaughter: Kendra Hansford and
Grandson: Alva Kuhl, Jr.

Surviving Are:

Son: Kenneth Hansford of Raleigh, NC,

Daughters: Dottie (Alva) Kuhl of Winfield,
Eileen (Jerry) Derreberry of Chesapeake,

Daughter in law: Virginia Hansford of Charleston,

Sister: Dorothy (Nels) Otness of Petersburg, AK,

Grandchildren: Lisa Cheaney, Becky Hansford, Chris Kuhl, Adam Kuhl, Kenny Hansford, Kevin Hansford and Todd Derreberry,

13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

She is also survived by James and Carla Curry who she thought of as her own.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday November 2, 2018 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Darick Biondi officiating. Burial will follow in Curry Cemetery, Marmet. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
