Darlena Gayle Eads Snodgrass, 71 of Charleston, passed away on October 25, 2018 after a long illness. She was surrounded by family.
Darlena was born at Cabin Creek and graduated from Sherman High School. She was a retiree of Bell Atlantic/C&P and was the past-president of the Telephone Company Pioneers . She loved cruising and cheering on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Service and entombment will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 27, 2018 in the Chapel at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas . Friends may call a ½ hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
Darlena was the wife and best friend of Jennings Snodgrass for 35 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Melody Massey Pittman (and Eddie Pittman), stepson Jay Snodgrass (and Melinda Snodgrass), and stepson Chad Snodgrass, sister Melody Graybeal (and Jojoe Graybeal), granddaughters Taylor Pittman Hardy (and Blake Hardy), Peyton Pittman, Haley Snodgrass, Mallory Snodgrass, and great-granddaughter Scarlett Reagan Hardy. Little Bit, her 8 year-old rescue dog, and Priscilla, her granddog, will sorely miss her.
Darlena was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Beulah Eads, sister Sandra Kay Eads, and brother Larry Eads. She will finally get to know her infant son, Matthew Massey, who was stillborn.
