Howard David McCormick, 54 of Racine passed away suddenly January 1, 2018 at home.

He was preceded in death by his father: Howard Cecil McCormick,
Paternal Grandparents: Samuel and Irene McCormick,
Maternal Grandparents: Beecher and Cora Anderson and
Mother in Law: Carole Ann Clendenen.

David was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Sherman High School. He was employed in the coal mining industry for 32 years, most recently with Blackhawk Mining.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kelly Ann McCormick, his daughter and her husband Olivia and Jason Witt of Charleston, son: Austin McCormick of Charleston, three beautiful granddaughters: Cassidy Ann, Caylee Mae and Carly Lou Witt, mother: Carolyn McCormick and sister: Condi Wallace both of Lyles, TN, brothers: Brian and William McCormick of Charleston, Michael McCormick and his wife Tiffany of Huntington, Howie McCormick of Gassaway, father in law: Jim Clendenen of Racine and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday January 5, 2018 at The Church of Christ Peytona with Ministers Richard Runyon and Charles McKinney officiating Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the Church. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
