Michael E. Meadows, 60 of Chesapeake left this earth and went home to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ eternally on December 22, 2016 at home.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. He had a passion for flying and helping others and had a deep love and commitment to his family. He retired from Patriot Coal in 2011, a job he enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by Parents: Edgar and Charlotte Meadows.

Wife: Rebecca,

Children: Matthew and Megan,

Sisters: Gloria (Steve) Barker and Jill (Tim) Runnion and

Brother: Eddie.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Oakwood Baptist Church, Charleston with Rev. David Moutz and Rev. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday Dec. 26, 2016 at the Church. Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements.
