Carlie Christine Barker, 64 of Nellis went to her eternal sleep on March 7, 2018 in her home.

She was born October 26, 1953 and was the loving wife of 48 years to Sidney R. Barker of Nellis.

She was preceded in death by Parents: Carlos M.and Janice M. Bradshaw Kinder and
Brother: Kevin Layne Kinder.

Carlie was a caring mother of two children, son: Carlos R. (Brenda Cook) Barker and daughter: Christine M. Cain both of Ashford. She was a wonderful grandmother of four grandchildren: Kelsie (Katherine) Cain, Leah “Grace” Fisher, Layne Barker and Carter Keith Cain all of Ashford.

Her surviving siblings are: Wesley L. Kinder, Anna M. (Bobby) Short and Carlos Keith Kinder. She was an aunt to three nephews: Matthew G. (Sabrina) Short, Paul Keith (Celesta) Kinder and Kevin Ross Kinder. She was also great aunt of Dustin, Seth, Shane and Drake.

Carlie was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness. With her passing this begins her journey to meet her everlasting Jehovah Creator. She was also a caregiver for many years and was one amazing cook. She was a loving and joyful person who touched many hearts throughout her life’s journey. Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to come to know and love her.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday March 13, 2018 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. Randel Kinder officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery, Ashford. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
